Second Temple began to be built by Zerubabbel, B. C. 530, hence the Royal Arch.
Anno Inventionis. (Year of Discovery) 2429.
Royal and Select Masters refer to completion of the Temple. 1000 B. C., hence R. and M. Masters, Anno Depositionis (Year of Deposit) 899.
Ancient Craft Masons use Anno Lucis (Year of Light) creation 5899.
Scottish Rite Bodies uses Anno Mundi (Year of the World) 5659.
Rising Sun Lodge No. 8, Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons
BOURBON Lodge No. 8 was chartered October 20th, 1857.
RISING SUN Lodge No.46 was chartered October 18, 1865.
The two Lodges consolidated as RISING SUN Lodge No. 8, March 4th, 1878.
The stated communications are held on the first and third Saturdays in each month.
Fees for the Degrees, $40.00; $20.00 to accompany the petition, and $20.00 to be paid
when elected and before initiation. Annual dues, $3.00, payable on or before the second
stated communication in December. Annual election of officers is held on the second
stated communication in December. The annual installation of officers shall be held on
or before Saint John's Day in December.
